LEAD ENGINEER & SOUND GENIUS
Dylan Olson's journey in music began at the age of 10 with a makeshift drum set, but it quickly expanded into songwriting and multi-instrumentalism. By 14, he was writing songs on his first acoustic guitar and had already begun teaching himself music theory. Throughout his teenage years, he played in multiple bands as a drummer, singer, and guitarist, and continued to grow musically while attending Northwest Nazarene University as a Vocal Performance minor. After a few years in college, Dylan left to pursue music full time. He immersed himself in electronic music production and DJing, which became the foundation for his recording journey. He later formed his first major band, Cutting Cages, which gained local recognition, including a nomination for Best Band in Boise and a performance at the Knitting Factory. During this time, Dylan expanded his skill set by learning bass and keys, which he would later master. When the band dissolved in 2015, Dylan turned his focus to his solo career. While living in Iquitos, Peru, he performed regularly and attracted a group of musicians to collaborate with, further developing his understanding of live performance and musical arrangement. Returning to the U.S., he launched his solo project Lover and, at the age of 28, began a serious journey into composing and producing. He invested in his own home studio and music education, gradually building a career producing voiceovers, jingles, commercials, film scores, game music, online course content, and more. As his reputation grew, Dylan became known for his work recording, mixing, and mastering other artists’ projects. He developed a reputation as a “wizard” in the studio, not only for his technical proficiency but for his ability to help artists unlock their creativity and find a sense of play and freedom in the recording process. Recently, he has returned to performing as a keys player in bands such as Dozey Dubs and Highway 45, while continuing to collaborate on several other multi-genre projects as a composer and producer. Though he has taught a few students over the years, Dylan is now committed to sharing his knowledge and giving back to the community through mentorship and education in music production. |
ARTIST DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION MASTERMIND
A fulltime musician and music educator since 2004, Danika brings a holistic music philosophy to the world of recording. Her additional years of experience writing and directing musical theatre infuse her coaching with diverse character and story. In early years of study, Danika was Resident Composer for three symphonies, two choirs, and the William Jessup University wind ensemble in which she also played several instruments and sang. She directed local music camps for 6 seasons and formed her own 45 piece orchestra from her students for several years while teaching private music lessons from her home studio. Appreciated by fellow music instructors in her former communities, Danika was also invited to guest conduct and give presentations to local symphonies and was invited to teach special improvisation workshops for the Music Teachers' Association of California where she taught piano teachers to incorporate structured creativity into their traditional music lessons. As time went on, she went on to develop the music curriculums SongBugs and Piano Alive, which give tools for learning or relearning music as one's native language. Danika spent a few years involved with West Coast Songwriters and during competition one season received the highest commendations for both songwriting and vocals. She also traveled a house concert circuit as a singer-songwriter with her band. Under a different artist name in 2007-2014 she released 12 solo albums, layering herself playing her compositions on 22 different instruments. Danika’s involvement in West Coast Songwriters also brought her an invitation to compose at Disney, which she turned down. Danika has been active in the local Idaho film community, acting and scoring music, for which she has received numerous awards locally and nationally. She is the current and founding conductor of Canyon County Youth Symphony and the composer and lead of Starrharrt Symphonic. She homeschools her daughter and is passionate about vibrant health and mental clarity. She has impacted the lives of thousands of music students through private coaching and small group classes, musicians who come to her for her fine-tuned ear, empowering energy, and refreshingly groundbreaking musical mindset. Danika is the founder and director of Encore Creative Center, a multi-location arts community, where Encore Recording Studio is housed. Receive new music from her here. |
